An affiliate marketing platform that pays from the sale
Dub, Referral Factory, Rewardful, Tolt, and FirstPromoter are serious affiliate products. They track the referral in their database and pay it on another rail. Parten runs the program on the Stripe account that collected the sale.

Connect Stripe
OAuth connects the account that already bills your customers. Webhooks listen for invoice.paid, checkout.session.completed, charge.refunded, and account.updated.

Set the rule
Percent or flat, once, for N months, or for the life of the customer. Hold days keep the commission inside the refund window.

Share the link
parten.app/r/code redirects to your site with parten_ref. Checkout writes that code onto the Stripe customer.

Pay from that balance
When the hold clears, Parten debits your connected account and transfers the same amount to the partner's Express account.

Commissions

Parten debits your connected Stripe balance and transfers it to the partner's Express account. Stripe collects identity and bank details.
Refund reversals
A refund reverses the partner transfer and sends the money back to your Stripe account. The commission row records the reversal.
Two-sided rewards
Customer referral programs can reward the buyer as well as the partner. The partner is still paid from the invoice, not from a second spreadsheet.

Questions finance asks first
How a Stripe invoice becomes a commission, when it can be paid, and what a refund does to a transfer that already left.
Why is Parten different from Rewardful, Dub, FirstPromoter, Tolt, and Referral Factory?
Parten is an affiliate marketing platform. Those products keep a commission database and then pay affiliates somewhere else: Dub's payouts, Rewardful's PayPal or Wise, FirstPromoter's PayPal, Wise, or bank transfer, Referral Factory's reward ops. Parten calculates the commission from the Stripe invoice and pays it as a Connect transfer from the Stripe account that collected the charge. It is the wrong tool if you bill on Paddle or Chargebee, or if referrals happen offline with QR codes.
How does a referral get onto a Stripe customer?
The partner link redirects to your site with parten_ref. At Checkout, pass that value as client_reference_id or as metadata.parten_ref. Parten writes it onto the Stripe customer. The next invoice.paid event creates the commission.
What does the commission use as the amount?
The invoice amount paid, minus tax. A percent rule applies to that net. A flat rule still attaches to the invoice, so a refund can reverse it. Trial invoices of zero do not create a commission.
When does a partner get paid?
After the hold you set, and only once the balance is at least the program minimum. Parten debits your connected Stripe account onto the platform balance, then transfers that amount to the partner's Express account. Stripe's transfer pricing applies. Parten does not add a payout fee.
What happens on a refund?
charge.refunded finds the invoice, reverses that share of the partner transfer, and transfers the same amount back to your connected account. If the commission has not been paid, it is reduced or marked reversed and never enters a payout.
Do partners need a Parten login?
No. They open a Stripe Express onboarding link, and Stripe collects the identity and bank account. You copy that link from the partner row, and the invite email includes it when Stripe is configured.
